Barry S. Silver
Barry S. Silver is of counsel to
Addis, Greenberg, & Schultz, L.L.C. He has been an
attorney for over 27 years. Mr. Silver has handled over 3,000
cases. His practice concentrates in personal injury, workers'
compensation claims and litigation
Mr. Silver is a graduate of the University
of Illinois College of Law (J.D. 1974). He was admitted to practice
in 1974 in the State of Illinois, and the Federal Trial Bar for
the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Silver has been in private practice
since 1981. Prior to that, he was an associate at Beermann, Swerdlove.
Also, he was a trial attorney in the felony division of the Cook
County Public Defender's Office for seven years, and was a member
of the Vertical Representation Task Force. This involved representing
violent crime defendants from the case's inception through its
conclusion.
Mr. Silver has served as an instructor
of trial advocacy at the National Institute of Trial Adovcacy
(Boulder, Colorado); Hofstra University Law School (Long Island,
New York); and Emory University Law School (Atlanta, Georgia).
Mr. Silver is an arbitration panel
member of the American Arbitration Association and the Circuit
Court of Lake County. He is also a member of the following Bar
associations: Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association,
Northwest Suburban Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association,
Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Decalogue Society.
